I am not the only one...

“Welcome, my friends. It is my hopes that you will experience many thrills, chills and laughs as you explore this Virtual Movie Theater and Gallery of Science Fiction and Surrealistic Art. The dual-purpose of this Website is to entertain and to act as a visual resume for film investors and professional film production companies. To quickly explain how this Website came to be: some cavemen began banging rocks really hard, and they kept banging and banging until they made a mess of the Earth. Somehow, they developed the Internet, and then I (descendant of many destructive cavemen) said to myself, damn. What a good way to show the world all things that I love to work on: my art, my weird creature designs, my music and my writing. It can all be showcased in one neat little package. Sweet.

In my quest for dabbling in all that is creative I have ultimately found that there is only one art medium in which all other art forms can be applied, and it is in filmmaking. It begins with a story, then design and development, to the actors in front of the camera acting out the director's vision, the cinematography and all of the pieces that come together to make an intriguing piece of art set to music. At Skull Island Pictures, my new film production company, we've been working on several Science Fiction /Horror and Art Films. Our film, "The Day the Forest Opened Its Eyes," will soon be showing at many film festivals throughout the United States, Canada and in Europe.

Personally, I am having a problem with the way the entertainment industry has become so stale. They're making remakes of remakes and Parts III, IV and V of films that suck. Big budget films are looking more like video games. Original, creative ideas have always been my strongest point: I have tons of totally unique movie ideas, entire scripts that have never been thought of before, hundreds of unusual creature and monster designs and many original music scores and if you don't believe me, then I dare you to start prodding around this Website (...and stay close to the candles. The staircase can be treacherous.) Wish me luck. Everyone who's previewed the new film is confident that we're about to rock the world, the same way "The Blair Witch Project" took everyone by surprise (spell?) Some of my other short films will be appearing on this Website soon, in different Windows Media formats.

Open your mind now if you will, and allow yourself to be amused, stimulated and horrified by the pages created for this Website. If you should hear something scratching underneath your bed tonight as you wait for sleep to overtake you, I hope for your sake that virtual reality hasn't learned how to crawl away from your computer. My name is Peter Lytchfield, and this is my Website.”
